Launched in 1998, Knowledge Institute is an entrepreneurial development firm that specializes in the creation of business-to-business resource and referral communities, educational programming and multi-platform marketing communication and outreach strategies.
With established and trusted relationships among government, nonprofit and business-to-business influence leader networks, Knowledge Institute facilitates public/private collaboration to drive small business start-up, growth and sustainability.
The U.S Small Business Administration (SBA), government agencies, Fortune 500 companies and nonprofit economic development agencies have formally recognized Knowledge Institute for its economic development impact and educational contributions, which include routinely serving millions of small businesses by facilitating increased business-to-business transactions in all 50 United States, District of Columbia and Puerto Rico through online resource and referral communities such as the Business Utility Zone Gateway and the Virtual Business Incubator.
Internationally, the Knowledge Institute is collaborating with IBM and The World Bank to support entrepreneurship among women and minority populations, and is working with the African Entrepreneurial Empowerment Institute (AEEI) to bring entrepreneurial education and incubator services to underdeveloped areas of Nigeria and Guiana.
As experts on national and global trends in entrepreneurship, Knowledge Institute staff lecture at universities, serve on government and nonprofit economic development committees, and advocate for small business nationally working with Congress, the U.S. Small Business Administration, and other government agencies to provide advice and counsel on issues related to entrepreneurial development and policy.
Knowledge Institute believes strongly that entrepreneurship is a driving force behind individual and collective social, economic and community vitality. Through innovation and collaboration, it is serving to drive economic recovery, growth and competitiveness on a national scale and within select underdeveloped countries. By helping to inform and educate more individuals on all aspects of entrepreneurial startup and growth, Knowledge Institute is building a stronger business foundation, increased commerce, new jobs and increased prosperity for individuals and society as a whole.
