Objective: To further serve small and medium sized businesses (SMBs) by expanding available "How-To" resources in support of business development, job creation, and venture sustainability.
Solution: The SBA entered into a Memorandum of Agreement to purchase and make available for national distribution, the Strategic Management Learning System (SMLS) written by Dr. William R. Osgood, President of the Knowledge Institute. The SMLS is comprised of 12 learning modules that provide step-by-step instruction, real world case analysis, educational reference sources, and customizable worksheets for immediate implementation of 12 core business management systems.

Client: In collaboration with New Hampshire Department of Resources and Economic Development
Objective: To provide annual entrepreneurial summit participants with a mechanism for further educating and enabling them after the event, to connect with available free and low cost resources to support their venture start-up, growth and sustainability.
Solution: The Institute researched, designed and published an Entrepreneurial Resource Guide as an event &take-away& and reference tool whereby participants could locate by type of need, geographic location and stage of business, free and low-cost resources in areas of business counseling, incubation and funding.

Client: Used Globally by Small Business Development Centers, Franchised Accounting Firms, Consultants and Professional Trainers
Objective: To provide a valuable tool to faciliate small business client learning and venture success beyond the initial business planning stage.
Solution: The Institute developed a comprehensive training guide including curriculm agendas, presentation aids and worksheets, for teaching 1-on-1 or in a group workshop setting, 12 core management disciplines inlcuding such topics as Cash Flow Management, Forecasting, Management Control, Target Marketing and Human Resources. Workbook covers may be co-branded to introduce Sponsoring organization company name and contact information.

Objective: To recognize and further support entrepreneurial initiatives in New Hampshire as represented in the first annual Start-up Business Plan Contest.
Solution: The Institute developed a comprehensive statewide Business Resource Directory to build awareness, access and use of the resources entrepreneurs require to establish and grow prosperous ventures. Resource categories included business counseling, business funding, business incubators, venture capital, angel investors, and Internet-based business assistance web sites.
