Objective: To further serve small and medium size businesses (SMBs) by educating professionals about the myriad of public resources that are available to support their ventures and how to access them.
Solution: The Institute developed a national Public Business Assistance educational resource network to build knowledge and facilitate access to available help through the SBA and associated free public assistance agency network such as business counseling, training, business start-up basics, SBA "How-To" publications, online business forms, federal grant programs, SBA lending programs, and SBA sponsored events.

Solution: The Institute researched and facilitated focus groups around perceived internship wants and needs leading to the development of 4 publications, marketing collaterals, and an interactive web site presenting internship best practices; internship program implementation process for academia, businesses, and nonprofits; internship guidelines for college students interested in participation in internship programs; and access to other related national and state-based internship resources.

Solution: The Institute developed a statewide Workforce Development educational resource network to build awareness, access and utilization of existing resources available to employees employers, as well as facilitate collaboration among stakeholders for developing new resources as needs change over time.

Title: Enabling Individuals with Disabilities Attain Self-Employment
Value: Promote awareness, access and use of vocational rehabilitation resources specific to entrepreneurship
Client: New Hampshire Department of Education, Vocational Rehabilitation
Objective: Aggregate, reduce, translate and make available on a statewide scale, programs targeted at supporting individuals with disabilities relative to enabling self-employment
Solution: The Institute researched, held focus groups, and developed an online resource portal and interactive 10-Step Venture Launch curriculum to guide individuals through the self-employment and business planning process. Web-based features and functionality allow Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors to work directly with clients virtually to share documents, track progress and support growth.
